Insuring the safety of each child at Warrior Camp is the top priority of all our staff. Our counselor to camper ratio is 1-5, which is double the state requirement ratio of 1-10. All of our counselors are CPR and First Aid certified. In addition to the Rexhame Beach lifeguards, three of our counselors are lifeguard certified. First Aid supplies will be on site, and in the rare event of unsafe ocean conditions, campers will participate in land-based activities and will not enter the water. All of our counselors are lifelong surfers and highly accomplished watermen. Additional precautions such as padded “soft- top” surfboards will be used in order to avoid injury. Your child’s safety is extremely important to us. We not only want to keep our campers safe during camp, but we want to teach them skills that will keep them safe if they choose to continue to surf in the future.
